The SCOTT Scale 940 features an ultralight carbon frame with a number of design features that make it a comfortable and capable XC bike. The carbon layup is designed to offer specific, controlled flex in areas that increase rider comfort and guarantee optimal absorption of vibrations not only in the saddle but also when the rider is standing up on the pedals. At the same time, the bike optimizes stiffness in the areas where it's needed for maximum pedaling efficiency and for accurate handling in rough sections of trail. The Scale features internal cable routing that protects the cables and yields a clean look. It's got a RockShox Judy Silver TK Solo fork with 100mm of travel and a remote lockout. The fork uses SCOTT RideLoc technology in the form of a 2-lever remote, located beneath the bar so your grip stays strong while adjusting the lockout. The SRAM NX Eagle drivetrain offers the functional advantages of a 1x system, with a super-wide 12-speed cassette to maximize terrain versatility. Shimano MT200 disc brakes offer plenty of power and modulation, ensuring you're in control even in fast technical sections. Tubeless ready Syncros X-25 tires are laced to Shimano hubs for a strong and fast-rolling wheelset; these come wrapped in Maxxis Rekon Race tires that provide just the right amount of tread for fire roads or singletrack. With the Scale 940, SCOTT has created a durable and affordable hardtail designed for world-class speed.
