Description

I do love this bike. I hurt my hand and will not ride for a while. I have only ridden this bike about 15-20x since I purchased it form The Pros Closet 10 months ago, so it’s fully tuned and ready to ride. It's an incredibly nimble bike for a full sus, but for Annapolis (mainly Bacon Ridge and Water Works) it's way more than I needed. I'm going back to old-school steel rigid or hardtail once I'm healed. This is a killer bike for places like Patapsco near DC. It also works perfect for Annapolis XC and trail riding if you like the advantages of full sus. With 130mm travel, it fits the local Annapolis trail bike scene, but again, I prefer to feel every bump, so I'm going back to the 90's. The SRAM X01 group set shifts so smoothly, I’ve never missed the right gear. The click of the cassette sounds so wonderfully (you’ll need to like the SRAM XG-1295 Eagle) loud, it’s a joy to listen to. This bike really is a head-turner (if that’s your thing) with the pea soup green matt paint and high-end components.

Note: the Group set is SRAM X01, but the dropdown on Bicycle Bluebook only had an XX1 option

Below was the description from The Pros Closet:

“The Following LS is Evil’s take on a short-travel trail bike. It keeps weight to a minimum and doesn’t go too long or slack. That means the Following is quick and playful, and it can climb faster than it descends. It's perfect for riders who value pedaling efficiency for big days in the saddle or the occasional XC race. But the Following is more capable than a standard XC bike. The 120mm of travel is extra progressive and poppy, so riders can attack berms, gaps, and rock gardens at speeds that other 120mm bikes wouldn’t dare attempt.

Glorious updates on the ""lightly salted"" version of this steed include SRAM's new UDH (universal derailleur hanger), trunnion shock spacers integrated into the linkage and lifetime bearing replacement (once a season to original owner) coordinated directly between you and Evil.”
