About this bike
Tight turns, steep ups and downs, carries over barriers and lots of mud, yep, we're talking cross! And if we're talking cross, we're talking GT's CX2. This workhorse boasts an aluminum frame with a carbon fork for low weight and precise handling-just the thing you need for the hour-long fest that is cross. It's also ideal for commuting and winter riding. Compact cranks with cross gearing and Shimano shifting power you through the mud and up and over hill and dale, while the Alex wheels with fat Maxxis tires take the abuse and ask for more. The geometry is upright and neutral so even if you never do a cross race, you'll still enjoy exploring the dirt roads and gravel paths near you. Maybe you'll even find a new way to work (hint, hint.)
