No experience is needed with Marin’s versatile Fairfax SC2. The sleek, subtle hydroformed 6061 aluminum frame has triple-butted main tubes and anti-flex seat and chainstays for a responsive, zippy ride. Up and down hills, Shimano’s 3x8-speed shifting provides all the right gears. Reliable linear-pull brakes provide grippy stopping power to the Alex rims, which are wrapped in puncture-resistant Vittoria tires. On top of all that, the Fairfax comes equipped with Marin’s Speed saddle, flat-top bars and eyelets for racks and fenders, making for an ultra-versatile ride.
