Overview

About this bike

FROM NEIGHBORHOOD ADVENTURES TO FAMILY TRAIL OUTINGS, THIS BUILT-FOR-KIDS MOUNTAIN BIKE MAKES IT EASY FOR YOUNG RIDERS TO ENJOY THE BIKE LIFE. THE FRAME DESIGN AND COMPONENTS INSPIRE CONFIDENCE AND CONTROL AS THEY DEVELOP THEIR SKILLS. KEY PERFORMANCE FACTORS Off-road control A shorter seat tube with a lower bottom bracket and standover height create a lower center of gravity with greater stability and maneuverability on dirt paths and trails. Select models come with a 30mm suspension fork for added control on bumpy terrain. Kid-sized components Smaller diameter handlebars (25mm) and short-reach brake levers offer better grip and control for smaller hands. Shorter cranks ensure smooth pedaling and prevent the pedals from hitting the ground while cornering. All the accessories A kickstand, mini-fender, stem pad protection, and a bell make Talon 20 a fun and easy bike for everyday rides around the neighborhood. A lower bottom bracket and standover height gives the Talon 20 a lower center of gravity, making it easier for young riders to control the bike. A shorter seat tube, combined with kid-specific components including handlebars designed for smaller hands and shorter cranks, gives young riders added stability and comfort for riding off-road. A kickstand, mini-fender, bell and stem pad are included. ALUXX ALUMINUM Performance level frame material features 6061 alloy with single-butted tubes to produce strong, lightweight framesets for a variety of different bikes and riding styles. YOUTH-SPECIFIC GEOMETRY Low standover height offers added confidence and control for smaller riders, and a compact frame design minimizes weight without sacrificing strength and stiffness. SUSPENSION FORK* Features 30mm of travel, so young riders can go from smooth roads to bumpy dirt paths or trails with smooth control. *Available on some models. Also available with a rigid fork. 20-INCH WHEELS Smaller wheel diameter is optimized for the frame, improving handling, balance and control for young riders.
