About this bike
They’re growing up, so they need a more grown-up bike. Dart was designed to help kickstart their transition from kids’ bike to adult bike – it features the same 7-speed drivetrain & shifters found on some of our adult bikes, and a kid-sized V-brake packs the same stopping power as the grown-up hand brakes they’ll be learning how to use. They’ll get familiar with switching gears while being able to expand their bike route to include more varied terrain, and the bike’s ergonomic design was tailor-made to support the perfect riding position for smaller cyclists (even while they continue growing!) and have them feeling comfortable and confident on two wheels as they maneuver the neighborhood streets with ease. At under 26 lbs, this bike is lightweight and easier for kids to maneuver, and its easy-mount frame & ergonomic saddle were tailor-made just for them. Grows With Them This bike’s wide range of adjustable seat height, extending from just 21.5” up to 28”, can accommodate small riders and their growth spurts, so little cyclists can keep riding comfortably as their bike grows with them. Shimano 7-Speed Big-kid bike or grown-up bike? With a full set of gears to add power and speed to their ride, they won’t be able to tell the difference. Easy-Reach V-Brakes This bike features highly responsive, easy-reach V-brakes that teach little ones how to use hand brakes like those found on adult bikes. Easily adjust the brake lever’s reach to fit smaller hands. Shimano Revoshift Shifters A safer ride at their fingertips – literally. Kids can safely change gears with palms on the handlebars and eyes on the road. Threadless Steering System Stronger, lighter, more precise steering, and easier to maintain.
