The Focus Thunder 1.0 goes up, over, and down the mountain. With 130mm of rear travel controlled by Focus' Knuckle Box linkage, you'll climb and descend with masterful skill. Its confident handling and pedaling characteristics are due to the aluminum frame with strategically-shaped tubes, including a tapered head tube. For suspension, Fox supplies their TALAS adjustable-travel fork and Float shock with platform damping so you can optimize the suspension depending on the terrain. Also essential on all-mountain bikes these days are adjustable-height seatposts, and the Thunder has a sweet remote-operated Crank Brothers Joplin. Other trail-dominating components on the Thunder include the precision Shimano XTR 10-speed drivetrain, the powerful Avid discs, and the stout DT Swiss wheels.
