About this bike
Big days on techy trails, or hot laps on the flow trail, the Jamis Defcon 3 is your weapon of choice. This 160mm-travel machine takes on all terrain with grace thanks to its single-pivot MP4 suspension. The pivot is placed to minimize braking influences and reduce pedal kickback and unwanted movement due to chain tension. That's nerd speak for "stays plush and active when you stomp on the pedals." Your bearings are US-made Enduro Max that are 10mm wide for increased lateral and torsional stiffness, and increased shock durability and performance. Again, nerd speak for "holds your line through chunder over and over again." The geometry is exactly what you'd expect from a high end ripper: quick, agile and confident. A Shimano 2 x 10-speed drivetrain keeps you rolling and Deore brakes slow you slow. Of course, like any true enduro bike, you've got wide bars, a short stem, and a legit dropper post.
