The balance of 130mm VPP travel and a 66.5-deg head tube angle delivers a ride that’s nimble on tight technical stuff yet perfectly poised on tricky descents too. The upper-link driven VPP design is engineered to be ultra-responsive. A firm initial stroke creates tight pedaling performance straight off the bat, while Juliana’s lighter shock tune remains supple enough to handle small bumps and keep things feeling playful. Deeper into the travel the progressive shock rate delivers a subtle bottom-out resistance that makes it feel like there’s more travel than there actually is. The Furtado Carbon C S features Santa Cruz' mid-level carbon frame that's suitable for almost all types of riders and trails. Thanks to a tubeless-ready Race Face/DT wheelset and grippy 2.3-inch Maxxis Minion tires it has a unique personality that ranges from feisty dance partner on hot laps to trusty companion on more far-flung adventures. SRAM's GX Eagle 12-speed drivetrain shifts great and nearly eliminates dropped chains, and Guide R hydraulic disc brakes put plenty of braking control at your fingertips. A wide Race Face handlebar and short stem combo deliver precise steering that's followed by the Fox 34 Float's 130mm of plush suspension travel. A Fox Float DPX2 rear shock makes easy work of chunky singletrack, too, letting you pedal through the chunder and fly down technical descents with confidence. For even better acceleration and response, upgrade the wheelset to the Santa Cruz Reserve 27 Carbon. A RockShox Reverb Stealth dropper post and Juliana's own grips and saddle round out this excellent trail machine.
