About this bike
By combining the winning properties of their classic Hei Hei with 29-inch wheels, Kona delivers a 4-inch-travel, big-wheeled monster ready for victory. The Hei Hei 2-9 boasts a scandium frame paired with Kona's race-proven 4-bar-linkage suspension and Fox's RP23 rear shock. Up front, Fox's racy F29 fork dishes out 100mm of efficient travel, while the tapered steerer and 15mm through-axle boost stiffness for the ultimate in confidence and pinpoint steering. Gearing is a mix of Shimano's XT and SLX bits, making it perfectly equipped to race on Saturday and head into the forest for a big ride on Sunday. Braking comes courtesy of the powerful SLX discs and the spec list is topped off with Easton wheels, Kenda tires and a svelte Kona cockpit.
