The Unit has long been a Reynolds 520 singletrack shredder, adaptable to a wide variety of purposes and only made more versatile with the addition of 27.5+ wheels. For the first time Kona is offering a Unit with gears — a SRAM NX 1x11, to be specific — and the opportunities it presents are truly exciting. WTB Ranger TCS tires roll fast on pavement and hardpack yet offer incredible traction on singletrack thanks to the wide 2.8-inch profile, and the ease of going tubeless with WTB Scraper i40 rims will keep the smiles coming over endless miles. Three bottle mounts on the frame plus two on the fork mean you can accessorize to your heart's desire, and rear rack mounts give you further carry options to suit your style and length of journey. Whether you’re looking for a fun-loving trail bike or a backcountry bikepacking rig, the Unit X is ready for action.
