The strength-optimized RDO compacted carbon frame features a full-carbon rear triangle, as well as carbon rockers and lower link, and maintains scary low weight while standing up to abuse day after day. Niner’s Constantly Varying Arc (CVA) design guides your rear wheel through 125mm of efficient travel, creating a trail bike that handily tames rugged trails. It likes a 120-140mm-travel fork, and has an offset rear triangle and ISCG 05 tabs so you can lock it down with a chainguide or load it up with a considerable spread of gears that let you climb and descend anything you can see. Niner’s RIP 9 RDO 3-Star gets after it with a trail build that refuses to screw around. A RockShox Pike mops up 140mm of chunky-trail travel, keeping you fast and on your line. 29-inch Stan’s ZTR Flow wheels are light, stiff, and keep the tacky Maxxis Ardent tires glued to the trail, so you don’t Wiley Coyote off the exposed switchback. If Road-Runner is more your style, Shimano’s XT 2 x 11-speed drivetrain spins up and takes off like a shot, delivering a huge gear-range. And, to make sure you stay resilient, XT brakes dial your speed down with light action and precise modulation so you can push a little harder and still keep it rubber-side-down. Niner sets you up with their own cockpit components that deliver lightweight control and comfort to keep you pedaling as long as you want. They even fit the 3-Star build with a Reverb dropper post, adding versatility and convenience to every climb and descent.
