What do we all look for in a true all-mountain bike? The frames have to be light enough to climb all day, yet tough enough to handle rough descents, drops and technical terrain. Norco's Six 1 starts with a 6061 aluminum frame with 166mm of travel and bolts on Fox's awesome DHX Air 5.0 rear shock and Marzocchi's 66 fork with 140-180mm of adjustable travel to handle the descents. For the climbs, the Six 1 sports an 18-speed Shimano/SRAM drivetrain with a bash guard and chainguide and lightweight controls from Syncros. And, because this bike does everything well, it proudly boasts Alex/WTB wheels and Hayes Stroker discs, too. All mountain will never be the same.
