Overview

About this bike

With 29to; wheels and a wide range of RIDE-9 adjustments, the Rocky Mountain Instinct is available in both carbon and alloy models. The re-designed frame pushes the rear travel to 140mm, increasing stiffness and tweaking the suspension kinematics. Despite the increase in travel, the new frame has noticeably more efficient pedaling with better small-bump sensitivity. The Instinct Alloy 50 combines a lightweight alloy frame with the Rocky Mountain suspension design that puts it ahead of the curve. Fox handles damping front and rear with a 34 fork and DPS EVOL shock, ensuring that tricky line you start is the line you finish. The Instinct Alloy 50 rolls on Sun’s versatile DÜroc rims wrapped in Maxxis Minions for aggressive control in any trail conditions, and they’re spurred on by a SRAM Eagle 12-speed drivetrain that blends NX and GX components for maximum performance-per-dollar. You can dial back the speed just in time with powerful Shimano hydraulic brakes and rely on Rocky Mountain components to guide this rig through your trickiest descents and technical climbs. It’s ready for either with the flick of the remote for the Race Face dropper post.
