Overview

About this bike

With plenty of standover clearance, 100mm of travel and big 29er wheels, Salsa's Big Mama pushes you to tackle tougher and longer terrain. It's made from lightweight, custom-drawn scandium and boasts a RockShox Reba fork that provides plenty of plush travel and dialed steering. The rear suspension delivers squish through a single pivot, flexing seatstay design controlled by a custom-tuned Fox RP2 air shock for 100mm of travel. Use of the flexing seatstays eliminates the need for a rearward pivot, which increases stiffness and durability in the rear triangle and reduces weight and lessens stress on the other pivots and bearings. And this fine frame comes to life with SRAM, Avid and TruVativ components, so you'll enjoy plenty of crisp shifting and braking power for many seasons to come!
