Named after an epic trail high in the Sierra Nevadas, the Butcher is a long-legged all-mountain machine that loves a good ol' session of big climbs followed by brake-searing descents through rock gardens, unannounced drops, spidered roots and bar-draggin' turns. Santa Cruz is well-known for their big bikes, and the Butcher punches above its weight with its APP suspension. It pedals and climbs like a trail bike, yet charges like it has more than its 150mm of travel on the downhills. APP combines their proven single pivot tech with the pedaling characteristics of VPP in a simple, durable, lightweight package. Key frame details include a tapered head tube, ISCG05 mounts and slack geometry. This build's highlights include a 150mm-travel Revelation fork, 3x10 XT gearing, Elixir discs and legit Mavic rims.
