Overview

About this bike

With an impeccable balance of low weight, dialed, nimble handling, and confident, stable steering, Scott's Contessa Spark 700 RC is ready for marathons, cross-country racing, and epic weekends with your crew. The IMP carbon frame accelerates instantly, its short chainstays and 142 x 12mm rear end keep it quick and responsive, and the 68.3–68.8 degree head angle ensure confidence and stability at speed. A 120mm-travel tapered Fox fork tears through chunder and steers with precision. The Fox Nude shock takes big hits and small, and both the fork and rear shock can be controlled with a flick of your finger across Scott's Twinlock handlebar-mounted remote. For the ever-changing trail, spry 27.5-inch Syncros XR wheels carry your momentum and deftly navigate rock gardens, while fast-rolling Schwalbe tires grip the trail for excellent control. A 2 x 10-speed Shimano XT drivetrain is pairs with XT brakes, so your braking will be just as smooth as your buttery shifts. 70mm-wide bars give you just the right amount of leverage and the Syncros Women's saddle ensures comfortable support no matter how long the ride.
