About this bike
The Karate Monkey is Surly's do-it-all, big-wheeled mountain rig. The Monkey is versatile, capable of running skinny tires or massive treads, disc or rim brakes, suspension or rigid forks and while it's capable of rocking gears, it brings its "A-Game" to the singlespeed scene. The strong 4130 chromoly frame and fork ride silky smooth and handle any terrain beneath your wheels. Tough 29-inch Salsa wheels wrapped with wide WTB tires troop over anything in their way and the singlespeed drivetrain is powered by stout Surly cranks. Wide 666mm bars give you kung fu leverage to complement your singlespeed style and Avid discs with 6-inch rotors slow you down.
