Transition's TransAM is the ultimate trail hardtail. Its 4130 chromoly is super tough with a smooth ride, and with the ultra-short chainstays and progressive geometry, this bike does just about anything you ask of it. A RockShox Pike up front takes care of the roots, rocks, and drops, while Schwalbe's meaty tires, mounted to WTB's wide Frequency rims, rail berms, fling loam, and laugh off hucks-to-overshot trannys. With Transition's FAST (Freedom Axle System Technology) dropout, you get a 12x142mm axle that quickly switches from a derailleur setup to singlespeed. Gearing and braking from Shimano are dialed, and you get some bomber parts from Race Face and Kore to decorate this beautiful trail destroyer. • FAST (Freedom Axle System Technology) dropout for singlespeed builds or chainstay length adjustment • Syntace X12 Rear 142mm axle and universal Transition derailleur hanger • ISCG05 chainguide mounting • Does not support front derailleur drivetrains • 44mm headtube fits tapered forks • Threaded 73mm bottom bracket shell • Stealth dropper seatpost routing
