About this bike
Until the 1967 Giro, Eddy Merckx was known mainly as a sprinter. By winning the very tough 12th mountain stage of the Giro d'Italia at the Block Haus, he also established himself as a climber and emerged as the preeminent grand tour rider of his generation. The Blockhaus 67 is a light, stiff, aluminum racing bike that punches well above its weight. Shimano's 10-speed Tiagra drivetrain provides smooth, reliable shifting and a wide range of gears to get you up steep climbs, and the Shimano Tiagra brakes keep you secure while you rail back down. An aluminum Deda cockpit keeps the weight light, the aesthetics tight and adds to the outstanding stiffness on the Blockhaus 67.
