Eddy Merckx set the tone for the 1971 Tour de France when he narrowly out-sprinted Roger De Vlaeminck on a gravel track. As a testament to this historic win, Eddy Merckx created the Strasbourg 71, a racing bike designed specifically for gravel roads and off-road adventures. The sprightly carbon frame is more than happy cruising a paved highway, but the sturdy construction and clearance for up to 40mm tires makes it truly at home on endless rolling gravel roads.
