Gary Fisher knows a lot about road bikes. He's raced them, ridden them for years, even reviewed them for cycling publications. His latest creation, he calls "smartly unique." The Ion Super takes a carbon rear end and mates it to a super stiff aluminum front end with the innovative Fisher Control Column and carbon fork. But that's not the unique part (although the FCC is insanely cool), what sets it apart is the fact that it sports vanishing fender mounts and room for 28c tires. This is a full-on race-ready bike that's stiff, light and accelerates like a rocket that can still commute, train and ride all-year long. And nothing shows off its workhorse pedigree like its triple-chainring Shimano gearing, Bontrager components and SSR wheels.
