Overview

About this bike

The Kestrel 5000 SL is the ultimate expression of speed. 30 years of carbon know-how has lead to the fastest bike Kestrel has ever created. It is constructed of KSL 800K high modulus carbon fiber, Kestrel’s highest grade carbon, and the frameset is full of tri-specific details that make it stand out. See below for highlights. The 5000 SL’s 22-speed Ultegra Di2 electronic drivetrain offers immediate, crisp, and customizable shifting that selects the gear you want flawlessly every time. It’s powered by a Vision Trimax crankset and provides the gear range you need to dominate your competition. A pair of Oval Concepts 950 F aero carbon/alloy wheels slip effortlessly through the wind, mated to a pair of Vittoria Triathlon Endurance tires for wind tunnel-approved speed. Oval Concepts tri bars, Kestrel carbon aero stem, and Prologo TGALE TRI saddle make sure all your power is converted into speed, and that you’re in the right position for maximum efficiency. When time matters, the 5000 SL is your choice. Frame highlights: - Top tube bento box mount and dual bottle mounts for plenty of on board nutritional storage - PF30 bottom bracket maximizes frame stiffness at the crank - Oversized and shaped downtube increases stiffness at key areas to optimize power transfer - Engineered seatstays improve ride quality by reducing vibration from the rear end of the bike - Asymmetrically shaped chain stays are designed to improve lateral stiffness and power transfer - Front and rear TRP brakes are hidden from the wind behind removable fairings to maximize aerodynamics - KSL Carbon Aero seatpost allows for infinite saddle adjustment to fine tune rider positioning
