Take the hole shot with KHS’s CX300. Its ultra-light 6160-aluminum frame accelerates quickly, while the full carbon CX fork keeps your front end cutting through the crud when the ruts start to freeze up. The tough, Weinmann XC-180 rims stand up to crooked bunny hops and choppy corners, which pose little problem thanks to the tenacious Maxxis Mud Wrestler tires. And, forget about the pits, because Shimano’s Tiagra 2 x 10-speed drivetrain doesn’t quit when the mud turns to peanut butter.
