Lapierre's cross-country rocket, the Pro Race 900, is so fast that it should probably be illegal. This hardtail trail ripper sports a super-stiff, extra-light carbon frame for premium vibration damping and power transfer and it features Fox's 100mm-travel F100 RLC fork to smooth out the rough stuff. Mavic's stellar Crossmax SLR wheels dance over the trail thanks to their low weight, while Shimano's flawless 27-speed XTR drivetrain shifts like a dream and Formula's Puro discs stop on a dime. Plus, you get an Easton carbon handlebar, Thomson's outstanding aluminum stem and seatpost, and grippy Michelin tires.
