Full suspension opens up a whole new world of speed and control off-road. Modernized with 27.5” wheels and tires, the Dakar A2 uses the frame platform that’s won Jamis numerous industry accolades and Bike of the Year awards. Dakars are perfect rigs for the experienced rider who is looking to upgrade to his or her first dual suspension or for new riders looking for a head start in performance. The Dakar A1’s RockShox Recon fork serves you 120mm of travel in a lightweight air-sprung design with lockout for efficient climbing. That’s complemented by a RockShox Monarch RL DebonAir shock in the rear that makes short work of rough trails and rocky descents. The WTB rims and Vittoria tires carve up the singletrack and thru-axles keep your handling on rails. Fear no trail, no matter how steep with Dakar’s Shimano SLX 1x11 drivetrain and Race Face crank, using a wide range cassette for great climbing and blazing downhills, during which you’ll be happy you have a pair of Shimano hydraulic disc brakes to keep that speed in check. Race Face and WTB outfit Dakar’s touch points for reliable control everywhere you ride, and the KS dropper post puts you in just the right position, whether you’re crawling up to the eagle’s nest or tearing down the chutes.
