About this bike
Does BAM mean <strong>B</strong>ig <strong>A</strong>ir <strong>M</strong>achine? That's our guess. Steep chutes, huge gaps and big drops all seem easier on Jamis' Dakar BAM. The 7005 aluminum frame features Jamis' mp3 suspension controlled by a Fox VAN RC coil over with 200mm of terrain-swallowing travel. The front end keeps up with 200mm of travel in the form of a RockShox BoXXer, which is World Cup-proven and just plain awesome. The wheels are rad, too, with through-axle Syncros hoops running tubeless-ready Geax tires. Brakes, shifters, and the rear derailleur are Avid and SRAM, while FSA cranks with a Gravity Light chainguide blast the BAM out of corners and across the flats. And more burly Syncros components make each run better than the last.
