Marin took two of their most popular ideas: their highly praised 29ers and their acclaimed Quad-Link 3.0 rear suspension and delivered the Rift Zone 29er XC8. This 100mm-travel aluminum bike blurs the line between XC and trail. While it's quick, light and nimble for smooth XC trails and racing, it's also sure footed and capable when the trail gets rough, rugged and real. Wherever you ride it, the handling is dialed: predictable and responsive, and when it comes time, you can drop the hammer thanks to the Quad-Link rear end. Technical climbing, fast descending or braking through the bumps, it's all efficient with no bobbing or brake jack. Plus, the specs are just as legit: a Fox 100mm fork, XT gearing with a Shadow Plus rear derailleur, Formula discs, and Easton wheels. Get in the zone.
