About this bike
Pivot's 167mm-travel Firebird features the dw-link, a design that boasts the DNA of 6 Downhill World Championships. But, that's just the beginning. This rig climbs as well as it descends thanks to the fully-floating Fox Float RP23 shock that doesn't need excess damping to provide efficient travel without squat or bob. That floating shock allows the Firebird to be fully active at every point in its travel for precise control over small bumps and big hits at any speed. For perfect shifts, the front derailleur features Pivot's floating mount design. Plus, it's impossible to drop your chain or get chain suck due to this unique mount. And up front this big ripper sports a burly 1 1/2-inch head tube with a 160mm Fox 36 fork. This XT Kit rocks a full XT group with DT Swiss 240 wheels and Syncros controls as well.
