About this bike
Pivot's 167mm-travel, dw-link-equipped Firebird boasts the DNA of 6 Downhill World Championships, and that's just the beginning. This rig shreds downhills without penalizing you on the ups with a fully-floating Fox shock that gives you truly efficient travel without squat or bob. That floating shock makes the Firebird fully active at every point in its travel to suck up small bumps and devour big hits at any speed. And speed will be yours. For perfect shifts, the front derailleur features Pivot's ingenious floating mount. This design makes it impossible to drop your chain or get chain suck. And it keeps getting better. Up front this big ripper sports a 1.5-inch head tube with a 170mm Fox 36 fork. The DHX shock makes this perfect for a park or shuttle bike, too. This Kit rocks a 3x10 SLX setup with an XT rear derailleur, Hayes brakes, DT Swiss wheels and Gravity controls as well.
