You'll see new lines on old trails when rolling Rocky Mountain's Slayer 70. Built from their FORM aluminum, this trail-slaying beast rocks a 75-degree seat tube angle and 165mm SmoothLink rear suspension. It pedals exceptionally well and climbs like a short-travel rig, but this bike's true potential shines on burly descents. RockShox front and rear annihilates the bumps with a big 170mm Lyrik and a Monarch out back. Ugly terrain or buff jump lines, the tubeless-ready Stan's wheels and meaty Continental tires throw down confidence to charge any line. A 2x10 SRAM drivetrain with Race Face cranks and chainguide give you plenty of gears to leave the shuttle at home as well as a solid platform for opening it up once pointed down. And to round it out, Avid's brakes, wide Race Face bars, and a Reverb dropper post truly let this bike slay it.
