The Salsa Timberjack is a hardtail mountain bike that’s equally at home pushing the limits on singletrack or bikepacking to places you’ve yet to discover. Timberjack features modern trail bike geometry, short chainstays for nimble scrambling, and clearance for either 29-inch or plus-size 27.5-inch tires. Timberjack SLX 27.5+ is a perfect companion for off-road exploration. The aluminum frame, Rockshox Recon RL fork, and 27.5+ wheels paired with front- and rear-specific 2.8-inch WTB tires let you ride the trail longer and harder with less fatigue and more fun. Its Shimano SLX 1x11 drivetrain cranks up inclines like they’re nothing, and still has the gear-inches to rip down fire roads or go flat-out on straight sections of trail. Fortunately, you’ll have a powerful pair of Shimano hydraulic brakes at your disposal to easily tame that speed when necessary, so let it rip.
