About this bike

The Highball is Santa Cruz's flagship carbon hardtail race thoroughbred, and a dark horse in XC versatility. More capable than a pure endurance bike, and more composed than most XC race-rigs, the Highball has evolved to be easier to ride harder for longer. Santa Cruz fine-tuned the carbon layup process around the seat stays, giving it a bridgeless design that curbs trail chatter. Coupled with a 27.2mm diameter seat post, the whole package takes the “hard” out of hardtail riding. With capacity for three bottle cages, the ever-reliable threaded BB and, of course, the lifetime warranty that comes standard with all Santa Cruz bikes, it’s the kind of bike that’ll go far. The Highball Carbon C S cuts weight for great out-the-door performance. With SRAM's GX Eagle drivetrain, Level TL brakes, and Fox Step Cast 32 fork, you'll enjoy lightweight dependability and crisp shifting and braking. Santa Cruz lets you choose your wheelset: either Race Face AR rims paired to DT 370 hubs, or the Santa Cruz reserve 25 Carbon set. Both are shod with Maxxis Aspen tires for predictable traction and low rolling resistance. A Race Face Aeffect bar and stem combo give you precise steering control for confidence in every situation, and WTB's Silverado Pro saddle tops the build.
