Santa Cruz's Tallboy 3.0 XX1 cuts a wide swathe through the world of trail bikes, leaving conquered singletrack and lesser bikes in its wake. A tapered head tube combined with Santa Cruz's CC-carbon lay-up make this ripper gloriously stiff, impressively light and ready to take a thrashing. Short chainstays and wheelbase make it quick and nimble, and the proven 110mm of VPP suspension with Fox components delivers phenomenal traction, whether you're scaling techy climbs or blasting down hill. 29-inch wheels bring out the Tallboy's rowdy side, with a griptastic Maxxis Minion up front and a drift-happy Maxxis Ardent bringing up the rear. And it all rolls on either Easton ARC rims or a pair of ENVE's awesome carbon rims with Industry Nine Torch hubs. SRAM's XX1 drivetrain is just the ticket for all-out, high-speed trail fun, with lightning fast shifts and stripped down weight. And Santa Cruz didn't forget the details: a Santa Cruz carbon handlebar, Easton Haven stem, and WTB saddle keep those contact points happy, and a RockShox Reverb Stealth dropper post lets you get down and dirty.
