About this bike
Are you ready to take your riding to the next level? XC racing, charging hard after work, weekend epics, 24-hour marathons; whatever your style, Yeti's AS-R 5 is the machine you need. It's light enough to beat your buddies to the top, then it just rips the downhill. Yeti placed a real premium on frame stiffness and being able to feel the trail beneath you. The AS-R 5 sports a stout aluminum frame with a tapered head tube so when you stuff it in a corner or huff and puff up a steep climb, you'll feel the frame react. It's also stiffer in the mid stroke of its travel, so it feels responsive and snappy out on the trail. The geometry is perfect and balanced with a 68-degree head angle, a low BB and 120mm of Fox-controlled travel front and rear. This race build includes an XTR rear drailleur, with XT shifting and brakes, DT Swiss wheels and a Thomson stem and post. XC or all-mountain? On the AS-R 5, it doesn't matter.
