About this bike
As your skills progress, and you find yourself going down things that were considered unrideable last year, you need Yeti's AS-R 7. This game changer is perfect for those riders who push it on the downhills, but aren't willing to give up climbing ability. Thanks to the fully hydroformed aluminum frame, carbon dogbone link, titanium hardware and Fox RP23 air shock, this 7-inch ripper is ready to smoke any downhill. On those descents, the Fox 36 fork takes care of whatever you need it to. It's still an amazingly capable climber though. You'll get up things you couldn't before thanks to the SLX/XTR gearing and Mavic wheels. The XT discs are some of the best around, too. It doesn't stop there, check out the Thomson stem and post and custom 12mm rear through-axle. With all this you have the tools to hang with the DH crowd and still pedal back up.
