Yes, Parlee's Altum is lighter. Yes, it has many striking new features and technologies. But the heart and soul of this bike is centered on how it rides. How it leaps into action when you stand up and sprint. How it carves through corners with unrivaled confidence, and disappears beneath you on long, grueling rides. The top tube and head tube flare out where they meet the head tube, as do the seat tube and down tube at the bottom bracket area. The result: a superlight frameset with increased steering stiffness and pedaling efficiency. The frame and fork also allow for seamless disc brake integration with a modular rear dropout that accepts QR135 or thru-axle 142mm wheels and 15mm thru-axle fork. Clearance for 28mm-wide tires and a traditional 31.6mm seatpost offer additional comfort and compliance. DT Swiss' wheels roll smoothly and efficiently through your favorite routes, while Campagnolo's Record drivetrain ensures impressively precise shifting. TRP hybrid hydraulic brakes provide effortless control, and a Zipp and Fizik cockpit offers sleek, comfortable, ergonomic support, no matter the duration of your ride.
