Sure, riding is about having fun, but the unwritten rule on every ride is that you have to beat your buddies to the top, then to the bottom. To that end, Yeti gives you the AS-R 5 Carbon. This thing is a 4.75-pound frame with 5-inches of travel! Those unheard of numbers come from a high-modulus carbon frame rocking the details that show Yeti's riding passion and building expertise. It's got a tapered head tube, titanium hardware, interchangeable dropouts and internal cable routing on the swingarm. All that is great, but it's the ride that matters, so the AS-R 5 rolls a slack 68-degree head angle and a low BB for fine stability at high speeds. It's a quick, efficient climber too, and an absolute ripper on the downhills with a custom-tuned Fox RP23 controlling the travel. Build highlights include DT Swiss wheels, a 120mm-travel Fox fork, a SRAM X7/X9 30-speed drivetrain and Avid discs.
