It's light enough to beat your buddies to the top, then it just rips the downhill. For all-mountain domination, the AS-R 5 sports a stout aluminum frame with a tapered head tube so when you stuff it in a corner or huff and puff up a steep climb, you'll feel the frame react. It's also stiffer in the mid stroke of its travel, so it feels responsive and snappy out on the trail. The geometry is perfect and balanced with a 67-degree head angle, a low BB and 140/127mm of Fox-controlled front and rear travel. Plus, Yeti specs this rig out with Shimano's inimitable XTR 20-speed drivetrain, powerful XTR Trail discs, an Easton carbon bar, and a Thomson stem and post, too.
