About this bike
Whether your kid is a legend in the making, or just needs something tougher to make it through the bike park with you, Specialized Status Grom has the goods to keep pace with the most outrageous of youngsters. Influenced by the legendary Demo, Specialized pours some of that World Cup-winning magic into the Grom. Its burly M4-aluminum frame comes equipped with an X-Fusion coil shock that dishes out 150mm of active, terrain-stomping FSR travel. Up front, a 130mm travel X-Fusion fork soaks up the rough stuff while keeping your shredder on his/her chosen line. All that suspension keeps the stout Specialized 24-inch wheels and fat 2.5-inch tires glued to the ground. And for those pedaling sections, the 8-speed drivetrain keeps the power coming with TruVativ Ruktion cranks, a DH-friendly chainguide, and reliable SRAM shifting. Plus, this rig features the awesome stopping power of Avid disc brakes for control in all conditions.
